Our Team

Harriet Currie, RCH, Cert HSA

Director / Canine Hydrotherapist

Harriet founded Millhaven Canine Rehabilitation in 2017.

Harriet completed her Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals in 2013. She began volunteering at an established Rehabilitation training centre in early 2014, working in both a pool and water treadmill, and was able to commence working full time as a Hydrotherapist later that year. She brings to the Millhaven team a wealth of experience and expertise gained from her time working alongside canine rehabilitation specialists during her first few years in practice. In early 2017, Harriet furthered her knowledge by completing the Level 3 Diploma Advanced Water Treadmill qualifications, and in 2022 completed her Level 4 Award in Canine Hydrotherapy, with a focus on applied water treadmill techniques. In 2023 Harriet completed her Level 4 Diploma module in Massage for Canine Hydrotherapy. She is currently working towards a Certificate in Electrophysical Therapy for Animals, having already completed modules in Photobiomodulation (laser therapy) and Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy.

Harriet is passionate about Canine Rehabilitation, and feels strongly that we should always be learning. She has worked alongside colleagues in the Veterinary industry to observe assessments and various surgeries to learn more about the conditions we treat in Hydrotherapy, as well as attending regular continued professional development opportunities with colleagues in other canine related professions such as Behaviour and Nutrition.

Harriet’s career in Canine Rehabilitation started because of her dog, Milo. When he needed Hydrotherapy she fell in love with the profession and set out to learn all she could about it. Her love for dogs started at a young age, growing up with her best friend and family rescue dog, Ben. She has also had a love for the ocean since her childhood, growing up by the sea and later qualifying as an Advanced PADI Scuba Diver. She also loves to travel, and is a keen photographer - her 3 Labradors, Jacob, Finn and Olly are her favourite subjects!

Rebecca Brooks-Sleight, MVetPhys MRAMP, RCH, Cert HSA

Canine Hydrotherapist

Rebecca completed her Level 4 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy, after graduating from university with an IMSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2024.

Rebecca has been a dedicated and valued member of Millhaven since her work experience in 2019 whilst studying the Level 3 course in Animal Management at college. She had a clear passion for dogs and rehabilitation and soon began volunteering with us. In 2020 Rebecca embarked on her degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy, and throughout her time at university she would often be back at Millhaven assisting the team and building on her experience in hydrotherapy.

Rebecca joined Millhaven in 2024 to practice as a Canine Hydrotherapist, alongside running her own business and working as a Veterinary Physiotherapist. She is an asset to the team and having known some of our patients for many years now, she has built up a wonderful relationship with them and our clients.

Rebecca loves to spend time with her rescue spaniel Ginny, who has been having ongoing physiotherapy and hydrotherapy treatment herself for post-surgery rehabilitation and to manage her diagnosed conditions. At home Rebecca enjoys cooking and baking for her family, and is usually the responsible one for baking birthday cakes! She loves to have a catch-up with friends, whether it's meeting for a coffee, a shopping trip or a spa day. She also has a keen interest in cows, especially highland cows, and will often take Ginny to go feed some that she has been going to see since she was younger with previous family dogs.
